FAQ

The Empire State Building Flex Ticket allows you to choose your visit date without a specific entry time, unlike standard tickets that require a reserved time slot. Simply purchase your ticket in advance and arrive at any time during operating hours on that day to enjoy the best views of New York City.

The Empire State Building Flex Ticket includes access to the iconic 86th Floor Observation Deck, where you can enjoy panoramic, 360-degree views of New York City. It also includes the flexibility to arrive at any time on your selected date, so you can plan your visit around your schedule. In addition to the observation deck, your visit includes access to the immersive exhibits, which showcase the Empire State Building's history, construction, and cultural significance.

You can change the date or time of your reservation through the Manage My Booking portal. Enter your email address or booking reference number, select your reservation, and choose a new available date or time. Please note that changes are subject to availability, and price differences may apply.

Peak times vary by season, but the Empire State Building is typically busiest during the first two hours after opening and the hour immediately after sunset.

For fewer crowds, consider a visit between 12 PM and 2 PM EST, after the morning rush has passed. If you wish to skip lines altogether, you can add an Express Pass at checkout for a faster entry experience.

For both daytime and nighttime views, the AM/PM Experience allows guests to visit during the day and return again that same night.

From the Empire State Building 102nd Floor you can see up to 80 miles on a clear day. That reach covers six states, including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Delaware. The Empire State Building view from the top also takes in Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, the Chrysler Building, the World Trade Center, and the Brooklyn Bridge, with the Hudson River running down Manhattan's western edge.

The Empire State Building is open 365 days a year, rain, shine, or snow. Our hours vary seasonally to ensure the best possible visitor experience. During the winter season, we install heaters on our outdoor 86th Floor Observation Deck for our guests' comfort.

For the most up-to-date hours on the day of your visit, please check the opening hours listed at the top of our homepage or on the Hours of Operations page. All visits require a timed reservation to help create a smooth and enjoyable experience.
